We can try to improve life expectancy period of the diabetic patients by Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting (CABG). Coronary artery bypass grafting is a surgery that improves blood flow to the heart. CABG is used to treat Coronary Heart Diseases. Coronary Heart Disease is a disease in which a waxy substance called plaque (plak) builds up inside the coronary arteries. This plaque accumulation is step up by High Cholesterol, Smoking and diabetes. CABG surgery creates a bypass around the blocked and narrowed blood vessels, allowing sufficient nutrients and oxygen rich blood to heart muscles.

There is much research is going on bypass surgery and grafting, few recent surgical records states that those diabetic patients who underwent Coronary Artery Bypass Graft Surgery had better short- and long-term survival than those who had the other types of surgery.
