Is Hemo scan Tests 1 Drop of blood in 5Sec?

HEMOSCAN is an electronic device, which is used for professional use and self testing for the determination of haemoglobin concentration in anti coagulated venous. It is a continuous and noninvasive hemoglobin concentration measurement system. It is well-suited for testing both capillary and venous blood samples. The device have been proved that it takes only 5sec to know the haemoglobin percentage in the sample and units are g/dl or g/lor mmol/L.

Hemo scan  is simple, speedy and easy to use. We should wear gloves before handling the test procedure.

  • It is tested by drawing sample manually.
  • Applying the sample on the strips and loading the sample strip into the Hemoscan device
  • And finally read the result.

The resulting value is displayed and then stored in the memory.
The Hemoscan device is easy to identify the blood groups and also we can identify the diseases like anemia or polycythemia by knowing the haemoglobin percentage in the blood.

Advantages:

  • The procedure is not timing consuming process.
  • It can store up to 500 samples result in the USB and allows easy transfer and data storage.
  • It takes only 5 sec to know the haemoglobin percentage in the blood.

Disadvantages:

  • The strips should use only one time.
  • Keep the test strips and strip bottle away from the children because the test strips and bottle cap is choking hazards.
  • Expired strips cannot be used in the test procedure of Hemoscan device. And do not cut and bend the strips
